You can open the Score Editor in a separate window or in the lower zone of the Project window. Opening the Score Editor in the lower zone of the Project window is useful, if you want to access the Score Editor functions from within a fixed zone of the Project window.
To open an MIDI part in the Score Editor, do one of the following:
Select a MIDI part in the Project window and select MIDI > Scores > Open Score Editor.
Select a MIDI part in the Project window and press Ctrl/Cmd-R.
If you select MIDI > Set up Editor Preferences, the Preferences dialog opens on the Editors page. Make your settings to specify, if you want editors to open in a separate window or in the lower zone of the Project window.
The Score Editor is divided into several sections:
Toolbar
Contains tools and settings.
Status line
Informs about the mouse time position, the mouse note position, and the current chord.
Info line
Displays note event information about a selected MIDI note.
Extended toolbar
Contains note value buttons and enharmonic shift buttons.
To open one or several parts in the Score Editor, select one or several tracks or any number of parts, and select MIDI > Open Score Editor.
If you have selected parts on several tracks, you get one staff for each track. The staves are tied together by bar lines and placed in the order of the tracks in the Project window.
To rearrange the staves, close the editor and in the Project window, rearrange the tracks. Then reopen the Score Editor.
You can activate/deactivate the status line, the info line, the tools, and the filters by clicking Set up Window Layout on the toolbar and activating/deactivating the corresponding options.

CoreAudio2ASIO Patch for Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)
Audio playback/recording with USB audio class compliant audio interfaces (no separate driver installation is necessary) will create noise. Immediately after starting the host application any audio output delivers noise, even if nothing is played back. This patch addresses the issue.
Important: The CoreAudio2ASIO Patch for Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) needs to be installed after Cubase Elements 6.
Please note that despite of this patch, Mavericks remains unsupported by Cubase Elements 6.

Steinberg Cubase Le Ai Elements V8.0.20 Build 468 Multilingual
The DVD image available here allows for a complete new installation of Cubase Elements 6.
After the installation has been finished, remember to install the latest update available above.
A valid Cubase Elements 6 license is required to use the installation!
Use any common burning software to create installation DVDs from the ISO images. On Mac OS X and Windows 8, ISO images can be opened as virtual drives directly by double-click. To be able to do so on older Windows releases, you need for instance 'WinCDEmu'.
